| S & M Kent. January 2012 | What a fabulous cottage, the best we have ever stayed in, a real home from home! Thank you Stephanie and Malcolm for the lovely welcome pack and flowers - much appreciated. Great meals in the Red Lion and lovely walk. Enjoyed Matlock, Bakewell, Buxton and Tissington. While we want to tell everyone how wonderful this place is we sort of want to keep it to ourselves too - it's very special. Totally chilled and relaxed. Thank you so much! |
| S & L Essex. October 2011 | Short but incredibly sweet. The cottage is home from home and a delight to stay. Thank you so much, would certainly stay again. Best Wishes and continued success. |
| K & D October 2011 | Our second visit and still as lovely as the last time. The cottage is fantastic and thank you for all the little extras. Had great food and hospitality at the Red Lion and would definitely recommend it. Visited The Peak Cavern, The Heights of Abraham and the Otter and Owl Sanctuary - all were fantastic and not to be missed. The highlight of the week and biggest shock was being proposed to in the cable car at the Heights of Abraham!! What a fantastic week, we look forward to returning soon. P.S. I said 'yes'!! |
| P & B Oxfordshire October 2011 | This has been our third visit and we have had another wonderful week. It is a pleasure to stay here and to receive such a warm welcome with the tray of goodies and all the other little touches which make the cottage so comfortable. Our week has been sunny and dry so have done lots of cycling. Would recommend the new Monsal Trail from Bakewell which has 6 tunnels - exciting for the boys! We visited the Treak Cliff Cavern for the first time which is one of the Blue John mines - interesting and a bit different. Also went back to the Roaches - lovely walk - then Tittesworth Reservoir where the boys like the big playground. On our only wet day we went to Waterworld in Stoke - flumes and slides galore for toddlers to teenagers. Thank you Steph and Malcolm and look forward to returning again. |
| V & T West Midlands. November 2011 | This is our first stay at the cottage and we can definitely say that we will be back! We have had a wonderfully relaxing time and have wanted for nothing. The cottage is very well-equipped and a very homely and relaxing environment. The welcome pack was a fabulous surprise and was much appreciated. I would like to thank Stephanie for helping to make my mum's 60th birthday one to remember. Thank you so much. |
| S & R, J & J November 2011 | I think this is our 6th or 7th visit!! The cottage is just as comfortable and homely - we love it just as much as the first time. Many thanks for the jam, fruit, wine etc, and of course flowers! Enjoyed walk along Manifold Valley plus visits to Leek, Buxton and Chatsworth. See you next time. |
| K & T Lincolnshire. October 2011 | What a fantastic cottage and a great place to relax. One of the best and well-equipped cottages we have stayed in and we have stayed in a fair few! We will definitely be returning in the very near future, hopefully with better weather! Thank you very much for a very warm and pleasurable stay. |

Surrounding area very picturesque. Don't miss Tissington Hall, Ilam & Craft Mill at Cauldwell, Nr Bakewell which are not the major attractions but well worth a visit. Thanks for everything. |

| A & A. Berkshire. August '11 | A third fortnight at Croft House Barn and once again, thank you for the lovely cottage and welcome pack as well as your efficiency as always with handling our booking. Lots to do - some old favourites (Crich Tramway Museum is great fun!)and some new outings as well. I can recommend walking to Ilam and back (lunch at Ilam NT tea-room) even though we all got wet. Do check out the selection of walking guides and laminates for all levels of stamina and enthusiasm. We've all had a great time and one of the children has asked if we have to go home. Hope to be back again. |
| C & J. Epsom. August '11 | An enjoyable week, lovely comfortable cottage and thank you for the welcome pack. Hope to be back one day to explore the rest of the Peak District. |
| S & D. Cambridgeshire. August '11 | Once again stunned by the beautiful cottage. So happy to be back. Our 6 year old remembered it all from coming 3 years ago and couldn't wait to tell his little brother (4) all about the different parts of the cottage. Enjoyed lots of new places, Stepping Stones, Splash Landings, Thors Cave, Monkey world and lots more. Hope to be back soon, from very happy boys but very sad to be going home. Thanks very much. |
| K & R. Northamptonshire. September '11 | Had a great week as usual. Stephanie and Malcolm deserve all the praise they are given in the visitor books past and present. What more can we say, it is a very comfortable cottage in a wonderful location. We will be back. |
| M.B. Dorset. September '11 | Beautifully presented & equipped accommodation - loved the blue and white 'Burleigh' ceramics, and all the touches which made it feel like 'home', especially the flowers and welcome pack. Great area too - beautiful scenery in the Staffordshie Peak District, so quiet too. Thanks. |
| S & B.D. March '11 | Just a quick note to say thank you very much for a very enjoyable stay. Climbed the first mountain with my little boy here, so will live in memories forever! Hope to return soon. |
